John Paul II Primary Library

We loved working with the talented Mana Architects’ team on another fantastic education project at John Paull II Primary. With so many beautiful design elements, the choices on what to light were abundant. However, lighting for health is always our first priority.

The circular ceiling oysters in the main library space, supplement the sky lights, mimicking the cooler tones of natural daylight and providing a biologically appropriate atmosphere for all who use the space. The breakout, reading nooks encompass a warmer colour temperature that enhance and bring to life the warmth of the natural timber finishes, as well as creating a more comfortable and calming atmosphere, that allows the children to settle in and concentrate on the stories and literature at hand.
