A revolutionary new lighting scheme in Margate brings together a pole and luminaire solution that completely removes the council’s reliance on grid electricity. The scheme utilises solar technology from Valen, out of the USA, and lighting expertise from German company WE-EF. Drawing only 9 watts each, and in a pleasant 3000K lamp temperature, the installation is a great example of what can be achieved when addressing council’s needs to reduce operating costs whilst improving the night time environment for their citizens.
