The Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) Tasmanian Chapter is holding another of their City Talk events, this time featuring a subject close to our hearts. “Celebrating Light- Respecting Darkness” will take place on the 19th of April featuring two presentations around light at night. Landon Bannister, of Southern Lighting fame, but also a member of the International Dark-Sky Association, will present a talk titled “Reclaiming the Dark”. Lisa Monaghan, the coordinator of urban design at Brimbank City Council in Victoria, will present the talk “Shining the Light in Sunshine” around the fantastic work they have been doing in one of Victoria’s fastest growing suburbs. Should be a good event and one we are all looking forward to.
